Review: SIMETRA SRP MOD:dss for Fanatec ClubSport Pedals V3
Installation and Quality:
Regarding the new product, I can only say: It pairs perfectly with the SIMETRA SRP MOD:one. Thanks to SIMETRA’s helpful instructional video, installation was very straightforward and quick to complete. The MOD:dss’s precision CNC-machined components impress with their impeccable fit.
Adapting to the Sim Rig:
Due to the specific design of my sim rig, the ClubSport V3 pedal unit doesn't sit perfectly flat but is angled slightly forward. Because of this tilt, I couldn't use the springs included with the MOD:dss initially—not because of poor quality (on the contrary, they are very well made), but because space became tight due to the altered angle. To use them, I would have needed to tilt the MOD components further forward, which—given my height—would have resulted in an uncomfortable, non-ergonomic foot position.
The Solution:
I had some springs left over from the Fanatec ClubSport Pedals V3 Hard Spring Set, so I installed the stiffer version as a test. Everything fits absolutely perfectly now.
Performance and Driving Feel:
After installation and initial extensive test runs in *DiRT Rally 2.0* and *EA Sports WRC*, braking with the new SIMETRA SRP MOD:dss proved to be a completely new and outstanding experience. The pedal feel is fantastic and comes incredibly close to the sensation of braking in a real rally car.
Clever DIY Upgrade to Eliminate Metal Noise:
During testing, I noticed that the metal pin on the preload adjustment dial was hitting the threaded insert at the bottom during hard braking, causing a metallic clicking sound. I found a solution that is both simple and effective: I took a spare PU foam elastomer from the original Fanatec accessories, cut it in half, and inserted it into the area around the metal pin.

The metallic noise is gone, and the braking feel has actually become even more realistic and progressive.
Conclusion:
Either way—the MOD:dss is a fantastic upgrade and offers tremendous added value for the Fanatec ClubSport Pedals V3!

The DSS Brake mod is a great addition to the Simetra SRP Pedals. However, I found the springs included were way to stiff (even using the lowest pivot point). I purchased some Red/Yellow Springs and they are now perfect.
It's a complete change from the original V3... The materials are excellent, and there are various options for brake stiffness. I'm using all the washers or, alternatively, the green spring and washers. You have to find the right setup. For example, I was used to the brake pedal being tilted forward, but now it's straighter than my foot. Installation, thanks to the video guide, isn't complicated, in fact... Shipping was super fast and packaged very well. Everything was top-notch.
The only "negative" detail (which is clearly stated on the website) is the increased cost due to customs duties... but that's not Simetra's fault!
